Doggie Rehab Success: Rascal’s Journey from Shelter to Service with The Good Shepards Foundation
YORBA LINDA, CA – The Good Shepards Foundation is thrilled to share the heartwarming story of Rascal, a rescue dog whose transformation from shelter survivor to healing companion is a testament to the power of rehabilitation, training, and second chances.
Rascal was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Southern California by our trusted rescue partner, A Wish For Animals. Upon his arrival at The Good Shepards Foundation, Rascal began a structured program of care, socialization, and training alongside our Elite Purple Pack – a group of specially trained therapy dogs that support individuals and communities in need.
With patience, consistency, and the nurturing environment of our canine-led rehabilitation model, Rascal blossomed into a confident and emotionally attuned dog. His journey reached a meaningful milestone when he was adopted as a facility dog by a recovery home in Newport Beach, California, where he now provides daily comfort and companionship to individuals in the early stages of healing from addiction to trauma.
